Data Operations Associate

ISS STOXX Market Intelligence Stewardship is immediately seeking an Analyst or Associate on its Data Operations Team in Manila. This position will be significantly involved in a variety of MI data quality oversight, project management and other ad-hoc requests. Major responsibilities include:

• Consolidate and manage data dictionaries and collection manuals

• Assist senior staff to manage data collection tools:

  • Engage with business teams to define data methodology and coverage

  • Collaborate with project manager to set up project plan and prioritize roadmap

  • Work with technology team to develop sustainable database schema to support business growth   

• Perform defined processes to keep data quality constantly at superior level

  • Develop and implement diagnostic checks within collection applications

  • Leverage technical skills to investigate data issues and develop systematical solutions  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance and with strong programming skills, or Computer Science is preferred.

• At least 4-7 years of data analyses or management experiences.

• Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to understand business user requirements, assist in designing technical solutions, write manuals and conduct user trainings.

• Technical skills required include proficiency in writing SQL queries in MS SQL Server and a general understanding of databases.

• Experience using MS Excel VBA programming integrating with MS SQL, MS Access, and XML. Python experiences is a plus.

• Demonstrated success in improving data quality and efficient data collections and strong detail-orientation are a necessity.

• Multi-tasking ability, including ability to be effective on multiple projects at the same time.

• Knowledge in US mutual fund industry is an advantage.

• A strong work ethic and personal drive to achieve project goals

Work Location & Schedule

• Amenable in working at Makati City on a dayshift schedule.

• Amenable to go on a hybrid working arrangement (at least 3 days work onsite per week).
