Position Summary: The Compensation Data Analyst is responsible for data and analysis specifically for compensation, labor cost related initiatives and HR metrics to include metric definition, advanced data modeling, and visualization tools to assist the Compensation & HR team with data for guiding business decisions.  This role will serve as the liaison with HRIS, finance, and business leaders to build and deliver workforce related data and have responsibility to lead data governance initiatives and provide the business with actionable data. 

Duties / Responsibilities:

Compensation – 30%

  • Conduct market and internal research to benchmark positions, analyze and model pay structures, and assist with plan and program design. 
  • Support compensation planning processes with data modeling, analysis and oversight for processes such as annual merit, pay structure development, incentive plan analysis, and business performance etc.
  • Ensure HR data integrity and alignment with the business & enterprise standards.
  • Manage survey tools and work with external vendors/ internal partners for compensation data. 
  • Serve as a technical resource for ensuring Workday and related systems correspond and output necessary data based on accurate position, pay, etc.

Workforce Analytics -70%

  • Establish key HR metrics and workforce data, analyze and identify trends across the HR function (hiring, compensation, performance, etc).
  • Develop and maintain advanced data dashboards and reports using a variety of tools and build models for predictive analytics of HR data.  
  • Ensure accurate and reportable data through establishment of data governance guidelines and collaborate with HRIS to ensure accurate and scalable data pipelines.
  • Serve as the point of contact working with functions to ensure data accuracy and data meets the business need.
  • Summarize and communicate data and findings, as needed, to key stakeholders, business and HR leaders.    

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 5+ years related Human Resources, Statistics, Data Science, Accounting or Business process experience. 
  • Experience with HCM systems (Workday, SAP, Oracle), advanced HR Analytics, compensation systems, labor analysis or data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI is preferred. 
  • Excellent analytical skills, the ability to prepare complex analysis, solve for root cause is critical for success. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to craft messages and explanation with data. 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
  • Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
  • Constantly works in an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment.
  • Work primarily involves sitting / standing.
