We started out in 2015 as ING’s software development hub, then steadily expanded our range to include more services and competencies. Now we provide borderless services with bank-wide capabilities and 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐣-𝐍𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐜𝐚.

The Mission

Data is one of the foundations of ING’s strategy to become one digital bank, where we need more
granular data of high quality to manage the bank wide (customer-)processes, modelling and decision making.

Data Operations is the place to execute our data strategy and optimize the data operations
within ING. Together, we are raising the data management capabilities to the next level.
As a member of the Data Operations organization, you will contribute greatly to operationalize ING’s
data strategy and fulfill our data promises.

With an increased appetite for consuming data and regulatory pressure to demonstrate data quality
coverage we need to maintain high standards in Data Quality. Global Data Quality function is
responsible for operationalizing ING Data Quality strategy, translating into services and executing
globally in order to ensure we maintain those high standards for ING data. As a Data Quality Expert in the Global Data Quality team, you will be part of Data Operations and will be key in delivering our
promise of “ensuring data quality” for ING across the globe.  This position provides a broad insight across the global ING organization and requires someone who combines common sense, curiosity and maturity with excellent judgment, discretion, and integrity.

The ideal candidate is a self-directed executor who helps orchestrate progress effectively in front of
and behind the scenes. Being comfortable with ambiguity and high work pressure is a must

Your day to day

Establish and oversee the end-to-end data quality journey covering all four data quality phases
(design, implement, monitor, improve) within specific domains (e.g., Finance/Risk/KYC/Global
HR/WB)
• Support the Product Owner of the data quality product portfolio you are responsible for, following the set priorities and backlog.
• Work closely with data owners, data users and IT stakeholders to ensure handshakes and gather
their data quality requirements and specifications for new data quality controls and dashboards,
translating them into data quality rules.
• Create data quality reports, translate data requirements into data quality rules and perform root-
cause analysis of data quality issues.
• Define, implement, and continuously enhance the end-to-end data quality operating and service
model across data domains.
• Drive remediation of data Quality issues and perform ongoing monitoring, providing advice on
data quality related problems in order to reach SLA timelines and lower meantime to repair.
• Contribute to the implementation of data quality controls in line with ING’s data management
process control standards. Contribute to the implementation of DQ tooling for monitoring and dashboard solutions to showcase the value derived from our data operations services to senior management.
• Provide an improved Data Operations client experience within your specific domain and in-scope
countries.
