Joint Force Capabilities Data Analyst

The Opportunity:

As a data scientist, you’re excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set, and you’re fascinated by the possibilities presented by IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open new opportunities. As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you can help turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. Across private and public sectors—from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence—we need you to help find the answers in the data.

You'll serve as part of the Booz Allen Team that supports Joint Force Integration in assessing future military capabilities for multiple Service, Combatant Command, and Coalition clients. Identify and collect data sources, analyze and extract key data and information, and evaluate and monitor data quality to meet the organization's information system needs and requirements. Integrate data, conduct exploratory data analysis to discover hidden patterns, apply predictive models, and use the right combination of tools to turn disparate data points into objective answers to enable informed decision making. Provide clients with a deep understanding of the data, what it means, and how it can be used. Apply data science, Joint Force, and Defense industry knowledge. Develop solutions to a variety of Joint concept, experimentation, and capability development problems of moderate scope and complexity. Participate in various program meetings, collaborate with stakeholders, develop documents and briefs, present results and communicate effectively with Joint Force leaders at the GS-15 and O-6 level and above.
