We’re seeking someone to join our team as Business Analyst with experience in Agile framework with requirements writing in the form of Epics and User Stories.Ā  To be successful, the role will require the individual to understand the banking technology landscape, and to offer creative solutions that integrate current capabilities, and the ability to adapt to changing business requirements.Ā Ā Ā Ā

WM_Technology

Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include: Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team.

WM Product TechnologyĀ 

Wealth Management Product Technology (WMPT) is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm’s WM Technology Division. We are responsible for creating innovative technology solutions for the Private Banking Group (PBG), one of the strategic growth areas of the Firm, providing cash management and lending products and services to our WM clients. This includes state-of-the-art technology for a nationwide network of Private Bankers and product specialists who work with Financial Advisors to provide access to products and services such as online banking, cards, deposit products, residential mortgages, securities-based loans, and tailored lending. What you’ll do in the role:

  • Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using Snowflake and Hadoop technologies for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.Ā 

  • Lead or contribute to data migration projects from on-prem to Snowflake on the cloud.Ā 

  • Manage the data flows and transformation from the source Money Movement to the data lake, and then to the Datawarehouse using Hadoop technologies.

  • Strong SQL skills for data querying, manipulation, and analysis within Snowflake and Hadoop.Ā 

  • Work across functional lines to strive for and ensure consistent data quality

  • Provide increased focus on analytics and emphasize on providing valuable insights to drive improvement opportunities

  • Maintain effective relationships with product owners and application development teams in global locations

  • Analyze user specifications and aid in testing and debugging applications

  • Work within an Agile team, participating in ceremonies related to the Agile framework

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 4-6 years of hand on expertise in building enterprise level Datalake/Data Warehouse and business intelligence platform

  • Hands on expertise on Azure cloud and Snowflake

  • Hands on expertise in Hadoop (HDFS, Hive) technologies

  • Hands on expertise in writing scripts using Python

  • Working experience in Teradata

  • Exposure to visualization tools such as Power BI, Business Objects / Tableau

  • Strong Linux background

  • In-depth understanding of the Informatica ETL tool, ETL/ELT process & best practices

  • Ability to analyze business requirements, propose solutions, and implement those solutions

  • Ability to learn new concepts and technologies, and implement them to solve business problems

  • Experience with JIRA or other ALM tools to create a productive, high quality development environment

  • Previous experience in working with global teams

  • Proven experience in working within an Agile framework

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of Financial markets, payment solutions & Wealth Management
