Base Salary $146,197 - $154,260 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
As the Project Manager, Research Data and Business Analytics, you will lead strategic projects across the Research Operations Division, translating advanced data analytics, including AI-driven insights, into actionable recommendations to inform research performance and investment strategies.
You will manage project planning, governance, and stakeholder engagement, while driving continuous improvement and supporting senior leaders with meaningful insights to enhance decision-making and service delivery.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
work within a dynamic team, reporting to the Associate Director, Strategic Initiatives
deliver actionable insights and solutions through analysis of business problems, stakeholder needs and research performance data
manage end-to-end project planning and delivery, ensuring milestones, timelines and outcomes are achieved
develop and present data-driven recommendations using analytics tools and visualisations tailored to executive audiences
lead process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, recommending changes and monitoring outcomes
build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to support project success and adoption
influence decision-making through high-level advice, stakeholder engagement and continuous communication.
About you
postgraduate qualifications and/or relevant work experience in a related field or role
previous experience in the higher education/tertiary sector or at a complex, multi-faceted organisation
experience project managing multiple work streams, or leading large complex projects and ability to work according to strict deadlines and manage various demands
relevant experience gathering and analysing data and organising reports, including the ability to present (e.g. Power BI dashboards) data and insights in a way that is engaging, concise, and supports leaders in their decision making and management practices
sound understanding and consistent application of project management competencies including scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communications, cost, risk, procurement and integration
excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a variety of matters.
