Our rapidly expanding new Chubb Engineering Center in Greece (CECG) is integrated with the Engineering Centers in India and Mexico to support our global technology needs and digital business transformation, as well as the company's operations in the Europe - Middle East - Africa region operating in 27 countries.

Overview

Chubb is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position and a compelling opportunity to join a global, growing, financially stable and successful company. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working with business partners to understand requirements as they are developing and delivering robust solutions that meet the highest standards. They thrive on learning new technologies, working in the cloud, and are excited to contribute to Chubb’s Data Infrastructure using technologies such as Python, Databricks, Snowflake, Informatica, SQL, and Spark.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis and research to identify approaches and solutions for new insights with high-level complexity.

  • Oversee the development of new reporting, visualization, and analytics applications, converting data into actionable information for business decision-making.

  • Manage stakeholder expectations to ensure accuracy and consistency of solutions.

  • Provide recommendations to address data and process gaps impacting business requirements.

  • Communicate approaches with cross-functional teams and leadership.

  • Lead and coach junior and mid-level data analysts in their daily duties.

  • Partner with business and tech teams to develop testing requirements, procedures, and corrective actions to ensure data products meet quality standards.

  • Establish open data standards, metadata management policies, and data classifications.

  • Develop models and prototypes to identify trends and patterns, providing observations to leadership.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop requirements and related designs.

  • Build analytical tools to provide actionable insights into key business KPIs.

  • Work with data engineers to optimize pipelines for scalability and data delivery.

 

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with a data science background.

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or mathematics.
  • Programming skills in Python and SQL.

  • Clear hands-on experience with database systems, including:

Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google).

Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI.

In-memory database systems (e.g., HANA, Hazelcast).

Traditional RDBMS (e.g., Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle).

NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB).

  • Advanced knowledge of data and analytics frameworks supporting data lakes, warehouses, marts, and reporting.

  • Experience with data tools for visualizations, analytics, and reporting.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, assess, and develop observations/findings.

  • Ability to communicate findings and approaches to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of testing policies, procedures, and the role testing performs within the software development lifecycle.
