The Compliance Senior Analyst is part of a team that is responsible for Compliance oversight for the enterprise.  This person will support compliance control monitoring, data management programming, and report development and maintenance.  While not having direct reports, the Compliance Senior Analyst will lead projects, as well as mentor and develop other Compliance team Analysts.  Under limited supervision, the Compliance Senior Analyst will research and analyze information with the intent to raise awareness about customer experience and regulatory compliance, in addition to providing reports for the business to monitor control design and effectiveness.

What you’ll do - Essential Responsibilities

• Monitoring, Data Analysis & Report Development - Provide compliance focused monitoring oversight, data analysis, and report development to fulfill Compliance testing and monitoring responsibilities.  Define approach and execute trend and other data analysis, identification of control gaps and data anomalies, and dynamic reporting.
• Communication - Communicate insights and build awareness around opportunities identified.  Partner with Operations, Legal, and other Compliance professionals to share insights and observations.  Build strong business relationships with various levels within the organization and act as a trusted advisor.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and relatable experience preferred.
• At least five years’ experience in data analytics and data visualization required.  
• Identify patterns and draw correlations in a structured and unstructured data environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills, team player mentality and ability to interact effectively with associates and managers in all operational business areas and at all levels in the organization.
• A technical background in, SQL, PowerBI, and/or Tableau required.
• Experience working in Snowflake EDW preferred.
• Advanced level of proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to independently manage small to medium size projects from initiation to completion. 
• Demonstrated capability to convert high level objectives into actionable tasks, analysis plans, and research methodologies needed to achieve results.

Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the CarMax Home Office in Richmond, VA or the CarMax Auto Finance office in Atlanta, GA and have a Hybrid work arrangement
