Senior AI/ML Engineer

In this position...

The Senior AI Engineer works within a cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify AI-driven solutions, and build out these solutions end-to-end. The role entails testing the application of LLMs, machine learning, or other AI-related techniques to solve these business problems and then bring these techniques to a production-ready state. The role also involves overseeing efficient data loading, augmentation, and analysis techniques to enhance the accuracy and robustness of the models used, as well as implementing processes to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the outputs.

What you'll do... 

• Work closely with a cross-functional team composed of software engineers, data scientists, product managers to deliver generative AI and machine learning solutions in GCP using Python and other tools and/or platforms
• Be responsible for selection and testing of the right algorithms or models that best solve the business problem, balancing accuracy, robustness, and efficiency 
• Mentor other AI engineers, data scientists, or software engineers in LLMs, AI agents, AI workflows, and machine learning techniques
• Find ways to automate and continually improve current AI engineer processes – whether through internal tooling selection or identification of specific techniques within the current toolset
• Innovate and standardize machine learning and generative AI development practices across the organization
• Lead by example in the use of paired programming for cross training, up-skilling, problem solving, and speed to delivery alongside other team members
• Stay up to date with the latest in applying AI to real-world business problems

You'll have...

•  A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline
• 3+ years of work experience as an AI software engineer with exceptional AI engineering knowledge
• 2+ years of experience with Cloud Engineering / Services
• Experience with applying generative AI and machine learning to real-world business problems
• Advanced working knowledge of object-oriented/object function programming languages: Python
• Experience with cloud services, preferably GCP Services like Vertex AI, Cloud Function, BigQuery etc.
• Experience with Infrastructure as code: Terraform etc.

This position is a range of salary grades 7-8 .
