Daikin Applied is seeking an Engineering Program Manager who will lead programs and projects within the Applied Air Handling Program Management Office focusing on new product development. Additionally, they will support and execute strategic initiatives and programs that will achieve Daikinās Product Roadmaps and profitability goals. This position provides Technical, Organizational, and Strategic Program Leadership. This position leverages Engineering, Program Management, and Project Management skills and competencies to ensure Product Development goals and objectives are successfully achieved by the execution of theĀ Applied Air Handling (AAH) business strategy. This position works very closely with Product Management and Engineering Leadership to execute Product Strategy roadmaps. Ā All levels of Engineering Program/Project management are tasked with delivering Engineering Programs, Projects, and Initiatives within prescribed scope, time and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through department leadership. Location: 4 days a week in office, Plymouth, MNĀ
What you will do:Ā
- Leads new Product Development Engineering teams and collaborates with multiple functions to execute strategic initiatives and/or product roadmaps that maximize the value of the business and profitability of new products
- Works closely with business leaders to plan future projects, schedules, and manage the portfolio of projects/programs, and their interdependencies
- Define, maintain, and monitor program and project scope objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Meet strategic goals
- Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed-on time, cost, and quality parameters
- Ensure functional commitments are achieved, strong understanding of Product Development Engineering deliverables within agreed-on time, cost, and quality parameters. Understand Key Engineering Product Requirements and Deliverables: PVSR, DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R
- Successfully manage the relationship with key stakeholders
- Provide a centralized, single point of contact for the programs and projects they manage
- Managing project budgets and forecasts related to project scope and timing
- Resolve problems in assigned programs using innovative solutions and interface with others in the company, report and escalate to executive management as needed
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities as appropriate, identify and resolve conflicts, manage project dependencies and constraints
- Manage project/ program risks and develop contingency plans where required
- Prepare and present reports periodically on the status of assigned programs and projectsĀ

Minimum Qualifications:Ā
- Bachelorās Degree in Engineering, Scientific, Math or Physics
- 4 to 6 years Engineering Program/Project Management, Engineering Department Management
- Industrial Equipment, Manufacturing or Automotive Industry experience
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this positionĀ
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masterās degree in Engineering, Scientific, Math or Physics
- PMP certification
- 8+ years Engineering Program/Project Management, Engineering Department Management
- Experience in HVAC or mechanical servicing industry

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges fromĀ $100,800k - $150,000K + up to 20% bonus in MN.Ā The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Ā Ā
