The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially minded Data Scientist to join our FP&A team within Finance, supporting the Markets Division. This role will blend advanced analytics with financial modelling to drive insights, forecasting and strategic decision-making across the Markets division and its underlying businesses.

You’ll work as part of a dynamic FP&A team, partnering closely with Finance Business Partners, Group FP&A and the wider Finance Community to deliver data-driven financial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain predictive models and scenario analysis to support revenue forecasting, cost analyses, and investment planning.
• Analyse large financial datasets to identify performance trends, insights and profit/loss drivers.
• Integrate financial data from ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) with market data to deliver performance insights
• Support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting and strategic planning cycles with high-quality, data-backed insights
• Create interactive dashboards and visualisations using tools like Power BI or Tableau to communicate insights to a wide range of stakeholders
• Support financial analysis for M&A, product profitability
• Drive forward ambitious agenda for change in the FP&A team

Skills & Experience;

Required;

• Bachelor’s degree
• Extensive experience in Finance or FP&A environment
• Previous experience in a data science, analytics role
• Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Proficiency in Python for financial modelling and data analysis
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g SAP, Oracle)

• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
• Collaborative mentality and eagerness to help shape and grow a data-first culture within Finance
