Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
Internship OverviewÂ
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Data Analytics Intern to join our Audience Insights team. In this role, youâll help analyze and aggregate performance data across all of our platformsâincluding broadcast, streaming, digital, and socialâsupporting our efforts to understand and grow our audience.Â
Youâll contribute to reporting and insights that power decision-making across newsrooms, sports divisions, entertainment programming, and Spanish-language content.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Aggregate and organize audience performance data from multiple platforms including TV, digital, streaming, and social mediaÂ
Track KPIs such as impressions, reach, engagement, video views, ratings, and demographic breakdownsÂ
Assist in building dashboards and recurring reports to share performance metrics with internal teamsÂ
Support ad hoc analyses that inform content strategy, marketing, and product developmentÂ
Clean and prepare raw data for reporting and analysis Â
Collaborate across teamsâincluding sales, finance, editorial, marketing, programming, and digital productâto align on performance goalsÂ

Qualifications
Basic QualificationsÂ
In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree in Data Analytics, Media Studies, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field at an Accredited Institution for the duration of the internship program and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progressâŻÂ
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)âŻÂ
Must be 18 years of age or olderâŻÂ
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversalâŻÂ
Must be able to work on-site in Needham, MAâŻÂ
Internships at NBCUniversal are paid and do not require course credit.âŻÂ

Strong analytical and organizational skills; comfortable working with large and diverse data setsÂ
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insightsÂ
Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solvingÂ
