Requirements

• Lead the architecture, design and development of close-loop HIL solution for Wayve’s AI driving products validation, in accordance with product, system, safety and test requirements
• Lead integration of the close-loop HIL solution into Wayve’s automation and verification infrastructure, and in release cadence.
• Support integration of simulation and new features across the organization , release and in root-cause analysis processes
• Serve as Wayve’s Tech-Lead in CL-HIL. Represent Wayve in industry and academic AV product validation through simulation forums, such as ASAM workgroups.
• Define the requirements for internal SIM and rendering tools to be used in CL-HIL.
  
  

Key responsibilities:

• Lead a team of SW engineers and outsourced services in the field of AV and ADAS closed loop HIL simulation and testing.
• Lead the architecture, design and development of close-loop HIL solution for Wayve’s AI driving products validation, in accordance with product, system, safety and test requirements.
• Work closely with HILs HW, System Testing and verification infrastructure teams to develop a comprehensive solution with high automation, reliability and availability that is integrated into Wayve’s verification infrastructure.
• Support integration of simulation and new features across the organization , release and in root-cause analysis processes
• Represent Wayve in industry and academic AV product validation through simulation forums, such as ASAM workgroups
• Work with CI/CD and verification infrastructure teams to enable high quality reliability and availability of simulation tools.
  
  

Supporting responsibilities:

• Work with product and safety stakeholders to support definition of measurable KPIs and SPIs through CL-HIL.
• Work with release managers to support release cadence and turn-around-times.
• Support Test and Verification teams to scope validation tests using HIL
• Support VIL planning by proposing shift-left activities into CL-HIL.
• Support SIM teams in establishing requirements for  CL-HIL.
• Support ASPICE process owners in establishing automotive compliant validation procedures using CL-HIL.
  
  

Experience: 

• 5+ years in leading AV AI/ML validation at system/product level through HIL close-loop tests.
• 10+ years experience in automotive, simulation, computer-vision, multidisciplinary products. 

About you  

In order to set you up for success as a Closed-Loop HIL EM at Wayve, we’re looking for the following skills and experience.  

Essential skills

• M.Sc or Phd Engineering or computer science degree
• Knowledge of commercial tools for AV and vehicle simulation such as dSPACE Aurelion/ASM, MATLAB, CARLA
• Knowledge of HW emulation and HIL tools from dSPACE, VECTOR, NI
• Knowledge of scene definition through ASAM tools such as OpenScenario, OpenDrive
• Knowledge of ASPICE-4.0 (MLE), ISO-26262 and SOTIF requirements and processes.
• JAMA based test requirements
• Hands on with C++, Python, Git, Ubuntu
• Knowledge of L0,L1,L2,L3 AV system KPIs and SPIs
• Knowledge of automotive system and SW development methodologies, testing verification and validation
• Knowledge of validation automation, reports and dashboard technologies
  
  

Preferred

• Formal Training in system-engineering
• Multidisciplinary background in systems engineering and adjacent technologies including control, imaging, radar, lidar, navigation, GPS, HW, vehicle models, test methodologies.
• Knowledge of car-OEMs release processes for L0-L3 AV systems and and OEM/Tier1 validation release and CI pipelines.
