Senior Engineer, Agent Foundry

As a Senior Engineer on the Agent Foundry team, you’ll help bring Ridgeline’s AI vision to life by building intelligent agents that deeply understand the investment management domain and seamlessly integrate with our platform. You’ll work across the stack to deliver fast, scalable, and maintainable solutions while applying modern generative AI techniques to meaningful real-world problems. This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll collaborate across disciplines and leverage tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development and explore new possibilities.

What will you do?

• Design and build user-facing and backend systems for AI-powered agents that integrate with Ridgeline’s unified data model
• Apply generative AI where it offers real performance or efficiency gains over traditional automation
• Collaborate with teammates, product managers, and domain experts to understand customer pain points and ship impactful solutions quickly
• Participate in rapid prototyping, MVP builds, and iteration cycles to validate agent value early and often
• Develop reusable components and patterns that streamline future agent development across the platform
• Maintain a strong quality mindset by writing well-tested, production-ready code
• Stay current with emerging tools and trends in generative AI and cloud engineering
• Share learnings and help strengthen Ridgeline’s collective AI engineering capabilities

Desired Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full stack development
• Proven track record of shipping high-quality, scalable applications in cloud environments
• Strong programming skills in languages like Kotlin, Java, or TypeScript
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React or similar frameworks
• Experience integrating generative AI solutions, including prompt engineering and tool calling
• Strong understanding of API design, microservices, and working with structured and unstructured data
• Effective problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills in cross-functional settings
• Passion for AI, iteration, and building software that truly helps customers

Bonus

• Experience working with LLMs, embedding models, vector search, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Exposure to OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock, or similar AI providers
• Experience with AI model evaluation and testing strategies
• Familiarity with financial services, investment operations, or workflow automation
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities

Compensation and Benefits 

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is $146,000-$172,000. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above.
