About the role:Reporting to the “Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Lead” for Cocoa Sustainability and working together with a multi-disciplinary team of cocoa and sustainability experts, you will be a member of the Cocoa Sustainability Team at Lindt & Sprüngli's headquarters in Kilchberg. Amidst a changing regulatory environment, increasing sustainability requirements, and the need for data insights to guide decisions, you will have the opportunity to support sustainability work and gain experience at the heart of an internationally active, listed company and its premium chocolate brands. By supporting the dynamic cocoa team by analyzing monitoring and evaluation data from 7 cocoa sourcing regions to help steer decisions and by helping review carbon footprint data, you will gain hands-on and sought-after experience in the world of cocoa sustainability.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Maintain, quality check and further develop the Farming Program databases
  • Support to review supplier reported raw datasets including geospatial data
  • Design and help roll out dashboards to display results for global Key Performance Indicators as well as thematic or origin specific KPIs.
  • Run advanced statistical analysis on large data sets and present results for learning and continuous improvement purposes
  • Prepare forms and datasets for data collection.
  • Compile and present reporting data for the annual sustainability statement
  • Support other external reporting tasks (benchmarking, surveys, membership reporting, etc.)
  • Support to desktop review process for deforestation risk assessments
  • Support other tasks required by the cocoa team. 
Profile:
  • Master’s degree graduate in science or engineering
  • Proficient knowledge and experience working with large datasets, advanced statistics, coding languages (python, R or similar) and creating dashboards (power BI).
  • Up to date knowledge of AI with experience of it’s application in data science
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Experience with study design, data collection, analysis and presentation of results.
  • Working knowledge of GIS and use of QGIS.
  • Fluency in English required. Knowledge or additional languages of German or French a plus.
  • First professional experience in corporate sustainability or related area preferred
  • An affinity for sustainability matters and desire to create positive change
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Organized and ability to work independently, but as a strong team player
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • High standards of quality and organization
  • Positive attitude and growth mindset
