Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Risk Data Analyst to join our Lease Program Management team, a key function of the Risk Science and Management group. The role focuses on managing residual risk in consumer vehicle leases by leveraging both existing and emerging technologies to enhance data modeling and analytics for accurate risk assessment.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining analyses that compare current vehicle performance to projected residual values, using industry data to ensure lease residuals are appropriately set, and identifying areas where adjustments are needed to reflect market trends to minimize future losses.
The analyst prepares bi-monthly presentations for senior management to review and approve residual values. The resulting residuals are then processed by the analyst for implementation into IT systems, along with weekly updates.
Additionally, the analyst collaborates with their assigned Line of Business, other Risk/Compliance/Audit (RCA) professionals, and RCA Managers to create, implement, maintain, review, or oversee an effective risk management framework. They participate in projects and activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The analyst identifies gaps and informs solutions to minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems, or human errors. They identify, respond to, and escalate risks as appropriate, serving as a functional liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Seven to 10 years of applicable experience
- Applicable professional certifications
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Proficient with MS Office 365, particularly Excel, SQL and /or similar database languages
-Identify and recommend adjustments to residual assumptions based on observed market shifts
-Expert understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
- Expert understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business
- Ability to build and manage a team of Business Risk professionals who have credibility and work directly with business line management, as appropriate
- Basic knowledge of Business Risk competencies
- Strong process facilitation and project management skills
- Strong presentation, relationship building and negotiation skills
- Well-developed analytical skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing workforce needs
- Proficient computer navigation skills, particularly word processing, spreadsheet, databases, and presentations
Experience in reviewing a large amount of information, summarize, a make recommendation to senior management.
- Strong analytical skills with critical thinking with the ability to summarize and report on findings, understanding how this data set affects other items.
-Ad hoc reporting with findings that show the impact and present to leaders
-Collaborating with other LOB's, time sensitive with a high level of accuracy

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
