What is Expert Process Excellence & Data Governance?

The Expert Process Excellence & Data Governance plays a key role in driving optimization, standardization, and data integrity across the finance function. This role supports the design and execution of transformation initiatives, continuous improvement programs, and governance frameworks using Lean, digital tools, and data-driven techniques.

The role involves conducting & overseeing process reviews, benchmarking, optimization, master data governance, exploring & implementing advanced analytics. The incumbent will work closely with finance teams, process owners, IT and cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, automated, and insight-enabled processes that meet evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Finance Process Optimization

• Execute end-to-end finance process improvement initiatives using structured methodologies & tools.
• Support benchmarking, gap analysis, and root cause identification for inefficiencies and compliance gaps.
• Collaborate with finance teams to standardize and harmonize Key finance processes, controls, and policies.
• Work closely with ERP teams to support process design aligned with Oracle Fusion capabilities.

2. Data Governance & Analytics

• Maintain and monitor master data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity and alignment across systems.
• Ensure adherence to defined data governance standards, control mechanisms, and audit trails.
• Leverage data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud) to derive actionable insights for process and performance improvement.
• Apply basic data science and predictive techniques to identify process trends and improvement opportunities.

3. Digital Enablement & Automation

• Identify and support implementation of fit-for-purpose automation solutions, including RPA, GenAI, and workflow tools.
• Partner with IT and digital teams to embed smart solutions in routine finance operations.
• Contribute to building digital dashboards and self-service analytics capabilities for finance teams.

4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Develop and track KPIs, SLAs, and dashboards to monitor process performance and control effectiveness.
• Establish feedback loops for performance reporting and escalation.
• Provide analytical support for transformation reviews and roadmap updates.

5. Culture of Continuous Improvement

• Advocate and embed continuous improvement mindsets across finance teams.
• Provide trainings, share best practices, and act as a specialist for Lean and data-driven thinking.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and apply relevant learnings to internal process landscapes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in finance process improvement, data governance, or analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP, and automation tools (e.g. RPAs).
• Strong understanding of master data, controls, and governance practices.
• Exposure to GenAI tools and advanced analytics in finance is a strong plus.
