Microsoft Fabric Administrator & Developer
Position Overview
We are seeking a Microsoft Fabric Administrator & Developer to design, implement, and manage our unified analytics platform, leveraging Fabric's comprehensive data capabilities including data engineering, data warehousing, data science, real-time analytics, and business intelligence solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Fabric Platform Administration
Deploy and configure Microsoft Fabric workspaces, capacities, and tenant settings
Manage user access, security roles, and workspace governance across Fabric experiences
Monitor platform performance, capacity utilization, and cost optimization strategies
Configure data gateways, network security, and hybrid connectivity scenarios
Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures
Data Engineering & Pipeline Development
Design and develop data pipelines using Data Factory and Synapse Data Engineering
Create data ingestion workflows from various sources including streaming and batch data
Build data transformation processes using Apache Spark, notebooks, and dataflows
Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and error handling mechanisms
Manage data lakehouse architectures and delta lake implementations
Data Warehousing & Analytics
Design and implement data warehouse solutions using Synapse Data Warehouse
Create dimensional models, fact tables, and optimized query structures
Develop real-time analytics solutions using KQL databases and streaming datasets
Implement data science workflows including machine learning model development and deployment
Build comprehensive Power BI reports and dashboards integrated with Fabric data sources
Governance & Security
Establish data governance frameworks, lineage tracking, and metadata management
Implement security policies including row-level security, column-level security, and data masking
Configure sensitivity labels, information protection, and compliance monitoring
Manage data sharing, external data access, and cross-workspace collaboration
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational data policies
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
6+ years experience with modern data platforms and cloud analytics services
Strong knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, and Power BI
Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, and KQL for data processing and analysis
Experience with data lakehouse architectures, delta tables, and data modeling
Understanding of data engineering patterns, ETL processes, and real-time streaming
Knowledge of machine learning workflows and MLOps practices
Data Platform Skills
Experience with data warehouse design and dimensional modeling techniques
Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and metadata management
Knowledge of data security, privacy, and compliance frameworks
Experience with capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
Microsoft certifications (Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate)
Experience with other analytics platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Analytics)
Background in data architecture and enterprise data strategy
Knowledge of DevOps practices and infrastructure as code for data platforms
