Profile Description

We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Associate) who can support activities for WMPT India including Hiring, MIS, resource management, time management, and reporting.  

WM_Technology

Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include: Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team.

WM Product Technology 

Wealth Management Product Technology (WMPT) is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm’s WM Technology Division. We are responsible for creating innovative technology solutions for the Private Banking Group (PBG), one of the strategic growth areas of the Firm, providing cash management and lending products and services to our WM clients. This includes state-of-the-art technology for a nationwide network of Private Bankers and product specialists who work with Financial Advisors to provide access to products and services such as online banking, cards, deposit products, residential mortgages, securities-based loans, and tailored lending. Software Engineering

This is Associate position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Looking for a skilled and experienced Hadoop, PL/SQL, SQL Database Developer to join our team.
• In this role, developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Hadoop-based solutions and managing SQL, DB2 databases.
• Developer needs to work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize data processing pipelines and database systems.
• Work with client and business analysts to review their business requirements.
• Support implemented solutions by: tuning and code fix, addressing user questions concerning data or application, monitoring performance and communicating functional and technical issues.
• Working in the Agile development methodologies, collaborating with business and technology teams located globally.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Maandatory Skills:
• At least 2+ years of strong experience in Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, and Spark.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL programming and SQL database development.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and database design principles.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and database systems.
• Experience in Unix Scripting.
• Experience in building scalable, high-performance, reliable, highly available and large distributed systems with a high degree of autonomy
• Familiarity with data integration and ETL processes.
• Work as part of a banking Agile Squad / Fleet.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Skills Desired:
• Exposure to Machine Learning Models and technologies such as Pyspark and Spark ML
• Working experience with any of Cloud Providers – Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Working knowledge of Financial market, lending based products and Wealth Management.
• Exposure to JIRA or other ALM tools to create a productive, high quality development environment
