Purpose of the function
For our headquarter in Munich we are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position of
Working Student Biostatistics (m/f/x)
- up to 20h/week -
Roles and Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the working student will be to:
- Support clinical studies statistical analysis
- Develop novel visualizations approaches to improve presentation of study results
- Apply Bayesian hierarchical models (BHMs) for time-to-event data extrapolation
- Explore how AI/ML methods can complement biostatistical modelling approaches
- Assist statistical innovation in implementing causal inference methods
- Apply explainable AI techniques to enhance interpretability of ML predictions
- Evaluate methods and tools for synthetic data generation in AI applications.
Additionally, the working student may help on with the overall statistical activities of the DSS-EG team if and where needed.
Personal skills and professional experience
- Bachelor degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or similar.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program PhD (Master) in biostatistics.
- Good programming skills in R.
- Knowledge of principles and standards of clinical studies.
- Knowledge of time-to-event data analysis and longitudinal modelling.
- Knowledge of causal inference methods and Bayesian statistics is a plus.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Ability to work remotely with worldwide team members.
