Business decisions are primarily based on financial data. This is because this information has gained reliability over the decades thanks to two key factors: standardization and digitization. Thanks to this, companies can understand their financial performance, access financing, and operate better.
However, non-financial information, such as that related to governance, people, operations, or supply chain, remains outside that decision-making process. Why? Because it's not reliable. It's not digitized or standardized like financial information. It's usually scattered across Excel files, disconnected from the rest as it's managed in silos, and by profiles unable to solve the reliability problem because they're not IT experts.
What many companies don't see is that financial information is largely a direct consequence of what happens in non-financial areas. If we don't understand those areas well, we're making decisions without considering a good part of the context. And that, inevitably, leads us to make worse decisions.
At Dcycle, we give companies total control over their non-financial information, so they can use it easily to be more competitive.

YOUR JOBWe are looking for a Lead AI Engineer to drive Dcycleâs competitive advantage in this field. You will have two main responsibilities:
- Integrate top-tier AI capabilities into Dcycleâs product.
- Collaborate with the rest of the company to deploy AI as a work companion to make the company more efficient and enhance our human capabilities.
You will constantly research and apply the most innovative technologies to address emerging challenges.
In 2025, Dcycle faces two major challenges: tripling the companyâs revenue and scaling internationally.
In one monthâŚ
You will have completed our best-in-class onboarding, designed to ensure your success from your first day. It will include working on practical sustainability cases to better understand our customersâ daily challenges, meeting with key people, and understanding our objectives and the way we do things at Dcycle.
You will start discovering our Digital Product philosophy, and we will introduce you to all the teams at Dcycle.
You will start making an impact through your daily job, we want you to be confident and start contributing from day one.
You will always be surrounded by colleagues who will support you every step of the way.
In three months...
By now, you will feel like a full-fledged member of the team. You will have already made an impact at Dcycle through your first milestones:
- Designing and deploying AI models that process messy real-world sustainability data: natural language, structured formats, supplier reports, certificates, etc.
- Prototyping fast with product and design teams: youâll help validate ideas early with smart implementations.
- Actively contribute to product discovery, working closely with clients, business and product teams to ensure technical feasibility early.
- Building production-grade pipelines: deployable, monitorable, and maintainable ML/LLM systems in a real product used by real people.
- Staying lean but rigorous: Weâre not after âAI for AIâs sake.â Youâll help us distinguish whatâs worth doing now vs. whatâs noise.
- Be a technical mentor to the team â leading by example, sharing knowledge, and supporting engineers across all levels.
You will realize that you are in an extremely demanding, dynamic, and creative environment, surrounded by highly talented people who genuinely care about your growth. You will receive continuous coaching through weekly 1:1s.

When you will do it
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible start between 8:00 - 9:30 AM and end between 5:00 - 6:30 PM), with an early finish at 3:00 PM on Fridays.
Where will you do it
Innovation requires seamless collaboration. At Dcycle, we believe impact comes from being present. We love having the whole team togetherâcreating, helping each other, and having a great time. But after the first month, we offer up to two remote work days per week if you need them to recharge and get shit done.
Who you will do it with
Nothing demotivates top talent more than working with mediocrity. Thatâs why we only hire the best. We aim for every new hire to be better than the current average, which is very challenging given the extremely high level at Dcycle. Here are some of them:
- BeltrĂĄn Arranz: 8 years working in tech sales. Over 25.000 sales calls and meetings, hitting targets 90% of the reporting periods in his years at Cabify (2), Amazon (5) and Dcycle (1.5). Crazy about taking people and teams to the next level (+300 interviews conducted, +30 people managed)
- Diego AcuĂąa: The first developer at Dcycle. A fantastic individual who has become the best Product Engineer in Spain. In just three years, Diego has risen to Product Maker, leading a multidisciplinary team that collaborates across the entire company.
- Boris Landivar: Environmental engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, ranked first in his class. Boris (we call him the Peruvian Tiger) has gone from intern to leading a product team in just three years.
- Cecilia Bayas: PhD Summa Cum Laude from the Autonomous University of Madrid. No further explanation needed.
- Jaime de la Torre: a startup veteran, Jaime was the second hire for Amazonâs launch in Spain, served as Feverâs first COO ($2.1B valuation), managed Airbnbâs market in Spain, launched Badi Homes, and was COO at Reby (âŹ100M exit).

Technical Skills
- 6+ years in AI/ML, with at least 2 years building real-world applications with LLMs or NLP tools.
- Proven ability to build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and fine-tune or orchestrate models like OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, etc.
- Strong skills in Python, ML frameworks, and cloud deployment.
- Experience working with vector stores, semantic search, and structured + unstructured datasets.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced startup where things break and priorities shift.
- Demonstrated experience supporting and mentoring engineers, and elevating technical quality.
- Experience working in empowered product teams and agile environments, ideally with Discovery & Delivery frameworks.

- How does the hiring process look like?
- We are truly proud to have a particularly tough selection process. We believe that what motivates a great professional the most is working side by side with other great professionals, so we make an effort to raise the bar with every new teammate we hire.
- The process consists of a brief qualification call (15 min), an in-person or video interview with Operations (45 min), an in-person interview with the Hiring Manager (60 min), an in-person values interview (45 min), and an in-person interview with the founders (60 min).
- Depending on the position, we may ask you to prepare a brief business case or tech skills assessment. We know the last thing you want after you finish your regular job is to start with yet another business case, so we commit to making it as light and brief as possible to your day to day, and to invest as much time in reviewing it as you invested in preparing it.
- We want to respect your time as much as possible, so we commit to providing feedback within 12 hours from your interview, and providing a slot for your next interview within the next two days. In the best-case scenario, no more than 10 days will pass from your first call to signing the contract.
