You’ll be joining IQVIA’s newly formed Data Architecture and Governance team within the Digital Solutions group. This team is focused on modernizing legacy platforms into scalable, cloud-native solutions that support digital marketing campaigns and healthcare provider engagement. The team collaborates globally, with developers in India and leadership in the U.S., offering a dynamic and innovative environment.

We’re seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to lead development efforts and contribute to architectural decisions for our next-generation data platform. You’ll design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, work with Snowflake and AWS technologies, and ensure high data quality across healthcare datasets. This role is ideal for someone ready to take ownership, collaborate across time zones, and grow toward architectural leadership.

Essential Functions:

  • Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT solutions and data architectures (data lakes, data warehouses).
  • Optimize Snowflake queries and implement data governance best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Build APIs and integrate with email service providers and HCP data sources.
  • Lead development efforts and coordinate with offshore teams.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Support CI/CD processes using tools like Terraform and Airflow.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality and integrity across healthcare datasets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and query optimization.
  • 5+ years of experience with Snowflake and cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP a plus).
  • 3+ years of experience in Python or Java.
  • Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Spark).
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).

Preferred:

  • Experience with modern analytics databases (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Exposure to microservices architecture.
  • Prior involvement in architecture design or leading development projects.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $91,300.00 - $228,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
