Samsung Electronics America is seeking a qualified Financial & Logistics analyst. This position drives process improvements and cost containment activities through the systematic review of highly staffed or underperforming functions to reduce costs, increase capacity, streamline throughput, increase accountability and control enhance revenue, and improve internal and/or external customer satisfaction.
The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company. The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within established time frames.

This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following:

  • Apply statistical analysis, data modeling, and predictive analytics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities across operational functions (Inbound, Outbound, Reverse Logistics, etc.)
  • Design and maintain forecasting models to support monthly, quarterly, and annual business planning cycles.
  • Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. forecast), root cause investigations, and continuous improvement tracking.
  • Develop and automate dashboards and reports using Excel and other data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Perform inventory valuation modeling and ensure accuracy of financial representation in systems.
  • Execute and support month-end financial closing, including account reconciliations, and resolution of aged items.
  • Collaborate with 3PL vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve data integrity.
  • Support audit processes by preparing structured reports, data samples, and evidence packages for both internal and external audit teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (e.g., Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Finance, or related)
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

    Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with statistical tools (e.g., R, Python, or SQL) is strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, financial analysis, or logistics operations

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SAP, WMS, or ERP systems
  • Familiarity with forecasting algorithms, regression models, or other statistical techniques
  • Experience working in logistics, supply chain analytics, or operations finance
  • Knowledge of audit preparation and controls testing

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in California, is expected to be between $85,000 and $95,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
