About the Role:

As Director - Americas Natural Gas Research & Analysis, you will develop natural gas research and analysis, specifically for the North American & Latin American markets. You will also create & maintain OPIS' natural gas services. You will report to the VP of Energy Markets within OPIS.

You Will:
  • Direct the research and fundamental analysis of North American natural gas markets, including supply, demand, storage, pipeline flows, LNG, weather impacts, and regulatory developments

  • Conduct primary research on the state of Latin America natural gas markets and create country specific market models

  • Develop point balances for the gas trading hubs across the United States and Canada

  • Direct the building of databases of natural gas infrastructure such as gas processing facilities and pipeline capacities

  • Maintain short- and long-term price forecasts and scenario models

  • Provide regular and ad hoc market commentary, dashboards, and reports to internal stakeholders and clients

  • Collaborate with the Head of NGLs to develop points of view on the NGL content within the gas producing regions

  • Lead the design and preparation of content delivery tools that enhance client experience

  • Oversee the preparation of content, analytical tools, and processes; become the primary interface for clients with the systems development for the upcoming services

  • Support preparation of content that positions the service with oil/gas producers, midstream companies, petrochemical manufacturers, and downstream consumers

  • Support and use intra-company expertise and content to support the services

You Have:
  • 10+ years' relevant experience -OR- PhD/Post-Doctorate study (can be considered if <10 years' industry experience obtained)

  • Knowledge of the natural gas value chain and ability to quickly gain an applied understanding of market dynamics

  • Direct experience operating and manipulating gas market models

  • Experience modeling gas processing unit operation, LNG liquefaction plants, and pipeline flow

  • Advanced Python competency and data analysis, modeling, and visualization experience

  • Experience manipulating and analyzing data with the use of databases, process documentation, and business intelligence applications

  • Experience with RBAC

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, Business, Finance/Accounting, Information Systems Management, Data Science, Relevant Discipline -OR- Equivalent Work Experience

Pay Range: $165,000 - $205,000
