Senior Information Security Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer.

In this role, you will:

• Lead or participate in computer security incident response activities for moderately complex events
• Conduct technical investigation of security related incidents and post incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies
• Provide security consulting on medium projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards
• Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security
• Review and correlate security logs
• Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
• Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• 6+ years’ experience in development and automation testing methodologies
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation.
• Deep understanding of Power BI and Tableau dashboards and architecture.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.
• Solid SQL skills for data validation and backend testing.
• Experience in test automation frameworks and tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and lead testing initiatives
• Certifications in Power BI, Tableau, or Test Automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Job Expectations:

• Automation Strategy & Framework Development: Design and implement scalable automation frameworks using Playwright for dashboard testing.
• Develop reusable test components and libraries for UI and data validation.
• Validate visualizations, filters, drilldowns, and data accuracy in Power BI and Tableau dashboards.
• Automate regression and smoke tests for dashboard releases.
• Perform data integrity checks between source systems and dashboards.
• Write SQL queries to validate ETL pipelines and data transformations.
• Development & Scripting: Develop custom scripts and utilities in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C# to support automation and testing.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Work closely with BI developers, data engineers, and business analysts to understand requirements.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices in dashboard automation.
• Document test cases, automation scripts, and test results.
• Provide detailed defect reports and collaborate on root cause analysis.
