Great Hill is seeking a remote Data Scientist with an active Secret Clearance ready to support a dynamic, innovative acquisition program. The ideal candidate for this role must be comfortable working in a transparent, collaborative team environment and possess outstanding communication, leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Azure Cloud Support
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Databricks.
- Manage and optimize data storage solutions including Azure Data Lake, Blob Storage, and SQL Databases.
- Apply performance tuning techniques such as partitioning, indexing, and caching.
- Ensure compliance with DoD and FedRAMP standards through RBAC, data encryption, and network security.
- Monitor and maintain system health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
DevSecOps Integration
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates for consistent Azure resource provisioning.
- Integrate data workflows into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for automated testing and deployment.
- Embed security automation (e.g., static code analysis, vulnerability scanning) into the development lifecycle.
- Package and deploy data services using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
- Maintain version control and collaboration using Git.
Mission-Specific Contributions
- Support the institutionalization of a centralized architecting environment for enterprise-wide data integration.
- Enable secure and flexible data operations that support training realism, threat emulation, and test-based decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with MDO objectives and CTC operational needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or data science roles.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Azure cloud services.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting DoD or military training programs.
- Familiarity with MDO concepts and CTC operations.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
