Job Description:

As a Data Engineer, you will gather data from multiple source systems, organize and process it, and prepare it for use across raw, integration, and presentation layers within our data platform. Your work will focus on building and maintaining reliable data pipelines and structures that make it easy for others in the company to access accurate and useful information. You’ll collaborate closely with BI and Business Data Analysts to understand their data needs and ensure the data is available, trustworthy, and well organized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and monitor data ingestion and transformation pipelines across the raw, integration (relational), and presentation (dimensional) layers on the AWS Data Platform, primarily supporting user analytics.
• Maintain normalized data models in the integration layer and dimensional models in the presentation layer and keep documentation up to date.
• Implement data quality checks and validations to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability throughout all layers.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in writing SQL and working with structured data

• Experience designing and building data pipelines for ingesting and preparing data from multiple source systems

• Understanding of batch processing, including how to handle incremental updates reliably

• Understanding of data modeling principles for analytics, including star schema and dimensional modeling.

• Careful and methodical approach to data quality and validation

• Fluent in written and spoken English

Nice To Have Skills:

• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, especially AWS services like Redshift, Aurora, Glue, or S3.
• Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools, particularly in the context of supporting analytics teams.
