Sr. Data Architect | Hybrid, Denver, CO

Optiv is seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to be a thought leader in how to design, implement, manage & scale our internal lakehouse for our Optiv Data Platform built on Azure Databricks. You will join the Global Data and Digital Technology team that supports the data needs for internal stakeholders across all business functions. 

How you'll make an impact:

• Design and build logical/canonical and physical data models aligned with the business requirements. 
• Lead master and meta-data management, data quality and enterprise data architecture 
• Working with our business partners and BI teams in analyzing existing data sources and interfaces to support current and future state data models. 
• Work with cloud and data (ETL) engineers to create physical data designs and business rules. 
• Partner with business leadership in developing business glossary, data governance and stewardship. 
• Lead the initiative to gather requirements elicitation and modeling sessions including use of interview, document analysis, workshops and provide guidance to the data platform team members. 
• Advise data engineer, providing guidance, sharing best practices and resources for their development, perform spot checks to monitor progress and work quality. 
• Ability to communicate and present complex information to technical and nontechnical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing including reference architecture diagrams and data flows  
• Stay current on technology changes, provide recommendations on enhancement of the data framework  

What we're looking for:

• 10+ years of relevant hands-on experience 
• 7+ years of experience in data warehouse technologies, preferably Microsoft SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL) and Azure tech stack (Azure Databricks, Azure Data Warehouse) 
• 7+ years of experience in data modeling, analysis and aligning business and data needs. 
• Strong knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling including master datasets 
• Strong SQL skills including DDL and DML 
• Excellent knowledge of developing stored procedures, triggers, views, and key data assets. 
• Experience with data integration, APIs, data warehouse and analytical platforms 
• Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques 
• Experience with big data and cloud preferred. 
• Experience in an agile delivery and face paced environment. 
• Azure certifications would be a plus.
