Overview of Role

66degrees is seeking a Senior contractor to engage on an 8 week remote assignment with potential to extend (Allocation breakdown: Week 1, 5 hours; Weeks 2-4, 40 hours; Weeks 4-8, 20 hours). Interested candidates should have the following required skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. 

As a Data Architect you will be spearheading the development of the clients platform with a particular focus on Databricks. You will be responsible for deploying and managing the data architecture to facilitate easy usage and analysis of the data, optimize data pipelines, implement solutions to meet data needs and ensure systems uphold data integrity and privacy regulations. 

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with data engineering, cloud architecture, or working with data infrastructure.
• 3+ years of experience with working within Azure/ GPC (This POC will be conducted on GCP, knowledge of how it can operate on Azure will be key for success)
• In-depth experience with Databricks and Python/SQL.
• Documenting a solution inclusive of architectures, pricing, and other technology design considerations.
• Google Cloud Data Engineer certification is a plus. 
• Background in professional services / consulting.
• Strong communication skills.
