Associate Developer, IT, Power BI

How you’ll make an impact:

• Develop and modify routine software code, ETL code, or web applications solutions

• Determine and design routine system specifications, standards, and programming including preparing and installing solutions within the scope of architecture, quality, security policies

• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code on routine issues.

• Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

What you’ll need (Required):

Bachelor’s degree +1 year of work experience required; previous experience and training in the specific technologies and programming languages that will be used for development.

What else we look for (Preferred):

• Preferred relevant industry experience (e.g. medical device, pharmaceuticals, etc.) or in highly regulated environments.

• Experience with application development using Power BI Premium semantic models and Power BI Premium data flows

• Knowledge of data modeling concepts and relational databases

• Relevant Microsoft certifications are a strong advantage.

• Experience with software development lifecycle tools (Bitbucket, JIRA etc.).

• Experience with Agile framework and DevOps.

• Knowledge in CI/CD pipeline, Gitlab, Jenkins etc.

• Knowledge of orchestration tools like Airflow, control-M etc.

• Knowledge of data modeling

• Experience in the Medical Device industry

• Knowledge of big data technologies like AWS data lake, Snowflake etc.

• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, organized and information seeking skills.

• Strong organization and time management skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills.

• Moderate knowledge and understanding of computer science fundamentals.

• Good troubleshooting/debugging skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards long-term goals.

• Strict attention to detail

• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and representing the organization on specific projects.
