Vibe Team
Vibe is focused on creating and maintaining a creative, fun, safe, productive and sustainable workspace. This includes everything from planning future sustainable spaces, keeping our existing space functioning efficiently, to preparing healthy meals. With this critical contribution to the company in mind, we partner with nearly all other teams to deliver on the ultimate goal to make Canva the best place to work in the world.
The Sustainability Team works within the Vibe team. Our mission is to provide support, strategy, governance, measures and reports on impact to sustainability activations. We have ambitious targets for Canva to be True Zero by 2028. This will require decarbonizing the entire organization which will take an enormous amount of work, but we believe we can do it. You’ll support the Head of Sustainability through project management and inspire and educate Canvanauts on why we need to decarbonize and what role they play in that strategy.

What You'll Do

• Report to Head of Sustainability
• Build and own the data integration process to our ESG platform
• Ensure compliance, data quality, and consistency with our core data stack
• Help us understand and asses our ESG impacts - we want you to be creative and insightful, and to help us live our values
• Build and maintain dashboards that clearly communicate progress to a range of diverse stakeholders
• Make multiple sources of sometimes complex data simple by building data models that make diverse data sources easy to work with
• Work across all areas of the team to understand performance of their projects

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience working with large real world data sets
• Strong competency with SQL; experience with big data SQL Query Engines like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift is a plus
• Experience building connected data ecosystems across multiple off the shelf and cloud Data platforms such as Snowflake or BigQueryExperience building data models as part of an ELT process
• Experience across both highly integrated ERPs and stand-alone best-of-breed platforms 
• Experience defining reports and dashboards inside off the shelf software, as well as BI tools such as Looker, Tableau or Power BIExperience building dashboards that effectively communicate results and outcomes
• A grounding in mathematics / statistics and a bachelor's degree in a STEM area is preferred; but not required
• Strong communication skills - verbal and written - be able to break down complex topics into simple solutions and ideas
• Experience wrangling and analyzing data using Python/Panda
