We're on the hunt for an experienced Data Architect/Business Data Modeler to join our Data Excellence team!

📝 The Role

With new projects across 2024 lined up, we are seeking out a "Data Excellence Specialist", ideally from a Data Architect or Data Modeling background to add to our the technical expertise our team within Data Excellence offer.

If you have a passion for data cataloguing, business glossary, and metadata management, then this role is perfect for you. Bonus points if you have experience in open metadata management.

We're looking for someone with a consultancy background or a strong consultant mindset. If you're a problem solver with a client-focused approach, then read on!

 

Your responsibilities will include:

- Catalogue and organize metadata like a pro, ensuring it's easily accessible and understandable for everyone in the company.

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive business glossary, making sure that all terms and definitions are crystal clear.

- Manage metadata like a boss, ensuring that data is properly classified, labelled, and documented.

- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique data needs and provide tailored solutions that make their lives easier.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data management, sharing your knowledge with the team and clients.

- Create, Validate, curate Enterprise Data Models at conceptual and logical levels

 

🧑 A bit about you

We want you to bring your own personality and approach to the role, but you’ll also need a few spoonful’s of:

- Proven experience in data management, with a strong technical background which we shall test during our selection process.

- Proficiency in data cataloguing, business glossary, and metadata management.

- Familiarity with open metadata management is a huge plus.

- Previous experience in a consultancy role or a consultant mindset is highly desirable.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver innovative solutions.

- Strong client focus and the ability to build relationships with ease.

-A knack for explaining complex data concepts in simple and relatable terms.

Collibra, Atacama, Open Metadata, Dataworld, Alation, Informatica Axon, EDC and IDQ.
