About the Data domainThe Data domain’s mission is to transform Trustly into a truly data-driven organization. We are responsible for every aspect of the data journey, from collection & modeling to analysis and visualization. We provide the whole organization with data and analytics artifacts aiming to improve our decisions, operations and the customer’s experience.
We are currently building a new Data Platform on AWS.
About the roleAs Trustly is currently moving towards micro-services we have identified the need of a new data platform, a data hub to cater for operational data needs.
Together with the Data Platform team, you will actively participate in the implementation and the maintenance for this new data platform based on AWS. The goal is to design and build a strong and reliable data foundation that will initially support operational data exchanges and will gradually support our analytics and machine learning use cases.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and operate Trustly’s Data Platform on AWS
  • Build and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines from internal as well as external data producers
  • Work with transformations of data from one or multiple source systems to feed our downstream applications
  • Help us identify new use-cases for our data and collaborate with stakeholders from the rest of the organization on how to realize those

Who you are

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Familiar with data quality and data governance concepts
  • Acquainted with self-service reporting and machine learning use cases and their prerequisites in terms of data infrastructure
  • Experienced with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
  • Experienced with dbt, S3, Kafka, Airflow, Airbyte, Hudi, Athena, Spark, Kubernetes and CI/CD process
  • Thrive in a fast growing company
