Job Description

Primary Function

As the Spatial Data Manager for the Global Space Planning Team, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the Space Management Tool, Archibus, including the data integrity of CAD floorplans, occupant data, reporting for Intuitive’s portfolio.  You will be responsible for developing systems, procedures, and policies for Spatial data management, and assisting colleagues in performing data-related tasks. This role is vital to the success of the Facility Team so we can quickly understand our space constraints and proactively plan for future space needs as Intuitive continues to grow.

You will be responsible for occupancy and planning metrics and data sources including the IWMS and other applicable databases. You will work with the team to engage with cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design, and develop data visualizations, audit cadences and processes to be used to drive operational efficiencies and drive accountability.  You will be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains data management plans and instructions for Archibus to update and maintain spatial data
  • Develops, revises, and enforces data management policies and standards of operation
  • Maintains real-time and up-to-date floorplans within Archibus
  • Drives change management in Space Operations as it pertains to data management and updating floorplans
  • Supports occupancy scenario plans, analyze workplace data, and engage with internal customers to develop innovative solutions
  • Update and improve our global CAD/CAFM guidelines and standards
  • Educate architects and other vendors on our global guidelines
  • Identifies patterns, relationships, and problems in data sets
  • Extracts pertinent data and build reports for leadership
  • Determines limitations in data reliability and usability providing a gap analysis
  • Recommends process improvements and performance enhancements in the IWMS, Archibus
  • Coach peer teams on effective spatial data management and floorplan update process to ensure compliance with established processes

Qualifications

Skill/Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Tableau (Prep), Smartsheets, Snowflake, SQL.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in finance, operations, and facility management is preferred.
  • Prior work experience within engineering, accounting, business, auditing, or consulting firms
  • Prior audit and/or process improvement experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership attributes

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and organize large amounts of data
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees and Executive Management
  • Thorough understanding of management and data administration duties such as collection and distribution

  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations with little direction
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proven ability to lead, influence and work well at all levels of an organization and in a cross-functional team environment
