Job Description

Working as part of the Enterprise Data & Analytics team (D&A); you will be working on a major migration project which includes the rebuilding of key reports and interfaces.

Your key focus will be to work closely with key business stakeholders and IT to incorporate new data, align business rules, and create robust interfaces and reports. In addition, you will develop and maintain ETL/ELT connections and effective BI and DW solutions, develop tables based on business logic and user requirements, and develop comprehensive and automated information reporting systems.

Your key accountabilities are - 

• Project and Task Management - Working efficiently with stakeholders to understand the business needs and translate it into key objectives
• Data Warehousing & Modelling - Developing, designing, and maintaining data warehousing solutions for storing operational and performance data
• Designing, creating, and maintaining integrations needed into/out of data warehousing solution.
• Developing end to end reporting solution including ingestion, ETL and PowerBI reporting solutions
• Sourcing system data discovery and data analysis
• Liaising and collaborating closely with D&A and IT
• Full solution testing, including system, performance and UAT
• Preparing for deployment and go live activities
• Maintaining well organized documentation of developed solutions
• Managing risks through the development and ongoing management of standard operating procedures for key information products
• Contributing to and maintaining the D&A risk and issues register

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of database architecture and associated reporting tools (Power BI)
• Excellent understanding of SQL scripting (T-SQL)
• Excellent understanding of ETL (SSIS)
• Solid track record of BI Development work
• Superior communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders at all levels
• Proven ability to drive projects to completion in a challenging environment, including demonstrating resilience, and flexibility in times of change
• Ability to quickly learn and understand complex data structures and environment
• Insurance experience, especially Life Insurance would be highly regarded
• Demonstrable ability and attributes such as; assertiveness,
• Previous experience working within an agile environment
