The Opportunity

“FICO’s B2B Scoring Division is looking for a motivated analytic product management professional that is eager to lead our data strategy to drive successful development and adoption of new FICO Scores and analytics that power decisions throughout the mortgage and consumer lending lifecycle. The Scores Product Management - Director of B2B Data Strategy will drive data strategy for the portfolio of FICO Scores and related solutions to meet the business needs and challenges identified across the industry. The Data Strategy Director will work closely with the B2B Product Managers for each solution family across FICO’s global and regional markets.  This opportunity requires an ability to interact across functional disciplines including software development, analytic development, sales enablement, product marketing, and support.” – Head of B2B Scores Product Strategy, Management, and Operations

What You’ll Contribute

  • Drive and promote the overall data strategy to support existing products and services as well as to research and develop new analytic products and services.
  • Collaborate with product managers, market-facing teams, analytic development, and software development teams to develop a shared vision of our data strategy by looking across a variety of business areas.
  • Evaluate and develop key partner relationships with data and technology providers in support of new offering development and product delivery.
  • Leverage market knowledge, data assets, voice of customer, etc. to identify potential new product opportunities.
  • Support and enable internal product teams and drive cohesive data requirements into analytic development.
  • Evaluate, develop, and maintain data consortium(s), if supported by the strategy and business case.
  • Write compelling Market Requirement Documents (MRDs) and provide necessary feedback to technical product managers to determine product requirements.
  • Drive the development of content required to educate or train internal or external Sales and Sales Support staff in support of data strategy and product applications.
  • Collaborate with regulatory and compliance experts to ensure offerings are designed and align with relevant regulations.

What We’re Seeking

  • Significant experience with a diverse set of data sources that can be leveraged across mortgage, auto, bankcard, and other types of consumer lending.
  • Proven background in product management and practical experience in the development, management, and delivery of analytic solutions, such as credit risk modeling and scoring.
  • Expert-level understanding of the product management discipline with the ability to develop business cases and value propositions.
  • Analytical and fact-based orientation, with the ability to look at the broader picture and think strategically by analyzing, interpreting, and organizing large amounts of data to solve business challenges.
  • Demonstrated history of cultivating client success and/or referenceable clients by solving business challenges through data strategy.
  • Exceptional, leadership-level communication and presentation skills. Ability to interact with functional leaders and colleagues across different internal and external functional disciplines in various time zones.
  • Proven background and practical experience in developing, managing, and delivering software projects to include the ability to create MRDs and PRDs, perform competitive analysis, feature/function prioritization, and assessment preferably with financial services clients.
  • Ability to work independently and to lead cross-functional project teams, autonomously prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and demonstrate a sense of urgency to meet and exceed competing priorities and commitments.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience, in an appropriate discipline (e.g., Business, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering). MBA or graduate degree preferred.

  • The targeted base pay range for this role is: $140,000 to $220,000 with this range reflecting differences in candidate knowledge, skills and experience.
