As an Analytics Engineer you will be working alongside the analytics team to be immersed in the business challenges and opportunities of our enterprise clients. You will support the delivery of insights through the development and management of an analytic warehouse – sometimes visionary and bold, other times practical and pragmatic – that will help brands communicate more effectively using mobile messaging.

You will use tools like Snowflake, AWS, SQL, Python, R, Airflow, and Tableau to support the delivery of testing strategies, analysis, research, listening, empathy and storytelling to cultivate an informed POV that addresses the unique challenges of the brands we work with.  You will be strategic partner to our analytic team and collaborative partner with our internal product engingeering teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manages the portfolio of new capabilities for the analytic warehouse, and collaborate with stakeholders to understand what data pipelines, models and dashboards need to be developed.
  • Maintains partnerships with upstream product engineering teams and client side analytics teams, and establishes SLAs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using tasks to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Snowflake.
  • Develop and optimize database schemas, tables, views, and other database objects in Snowflake; including the implementation of best practices for data modeling, including normalization, denormalization, indexing, and partitioning.
  • Design and develop Tableau dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights derived from the data.
  • Manage Tableau Server or Tableau Online environments, including user access, permissions, and scheduling of data refreshes.
  • Provide training, documentation, and support to end users on how to interact with data models and Tableau dashboards, ensuring they understand how to derive insights and make data-driven decisions.
  • Optimize, monitor, and troubleshoot data pipelines, workflows, data models, dashboards to ensure for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Manage priorities effectively, balancing development tasks, user training, and support activities to meet project deadlines and business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering, data modeling, data visualization, and user training.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience working in a data warehousing, data engineering or data architect role.
  • 5+ years of experience building data warehouses designed for analytic teams, managing product roadmaps, and experience in a marketing analytical role is a plus.
  • Strong skills in Snowflake and AWS as well as data languages like R and Python to handle data tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate campaign platform tools with analytics tools to gain an end to end view of the campaign experience; supporting analysis, reporting and optimizations.
  • Deep experience in developing ETL, data analysis and report generation through tools such as Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, R, Python, AWS, Snowflake, and Airflow.
  • Experience with conducting single and multivariate campaign testing.
  • Experience working in marketing analytics or experience building solutions to support campaign reporting and insights.
  • Experience working independently, self-managing, and managing others on projects to deliver results supporting multiple clients and stakeholders
  • A degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, software engineering, or IT is a plus.
