Job Description

ASOS is a unique and forward-thinking company and understands the opportunities data and technology have on driving the business forward. Data and analytics remain a key priority focus area and the Business Intelligence team will be at the heart of driving new insights within the organisation.

You will need to have a real passion for BI, and a desire to work with the latest technologies. You will be driven and excited about Power BI development, bringing ideas to the table and influencing and guiding others on the journey. You will play a key part in leading the delivery of Power BI solutions and driving insight. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Ingesting data from a variety of corporate data sources and performing required transformations in the Power BI query editor.
  • Data modelling capabilities, including designing effective BI data models in line with the Kimble methodology.
  • Developing calculations in DAX which are accurate and performant on large datasets.
  • Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and interactive dashboards using Power BI desktop.
  • Reviewing existing Power BI reports (working with Power BI analyst) to determine which factors most affect performance.
  • Good understanding of managing and monitoring usage, data refreshes and security features.

Qualifications

About you: 

 

  • You will have strong experience working with Power BI, including report creation and Power BI performance optimisation.
  • Experience as a Business Intelligence developer using the Microsoft BI stack e.g., SQL Server database, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and creating views/tables, functions, and stored procedures.
  • Build dashboards, reports and cubes using SQL, MDX, DAX
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, preferably on Azure
