Role and Responsibilities
The North American Service Business (NASB) is looking for a Senior Data Analytics & Insights Manager to empower the various teams it supports with analytics, insights and automation to enable them to make data driven decisions. The Data Analytics & Insights Team (DAI) inside of NASB supports multiple groups such as the service partnership group, the products group, Samsung Ads and NASB Leadership.
This role will focus on supporting Samsung Ads Sales and NASB leadership with improved forecasting methodologies, automation and reporting capabilities. Since we support multiple areas, there will be opportunities to learn from and work with other parts of the NASB business and be part of a larger analytics group of 9 other analytics professionals directly, and many more outside of our immediate group.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, analytical, and solutions-focused with the ability to unravel internal complexity/ambiguity, navigate the organization, and come to a quick understanding of the business and the relevant data. The position requires excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with all areas of the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Become an expert on the Samsung data available to the group and strive to increase our access to further relevant sources of data inside and outside of Samsung
- Be a subject matter expert on our ad sales data and provide solutions to improve both the business and the processes that drive our business
- Create automation and process streamlining to simplify our stakeholder’s work
- Evolve our forecasting methodology to increase accuracy and forecasting timelines
- Create impactful and easy to understand data visualizations
- Oversee projects to expand our data infrastructure and tooling
- Communicate technical requirements to stakeholders and vendors of varying technical ability
- Educate the wider group on our tooling and processes to increase overall data literacy
- Coordinate with different functions across the organization to drive team goals
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS required
- 8+ years of relevant ad-tech experience, ideally ad sales
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organizations
- Experience with forecasting methodologies
- Passionate about technology and new media trends
- Self-motivated, assertive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Project management experience
- Experience with SQL and Python/Pandas for data analytics, ETL and automation
- Experience with at least one BI system such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Domo or similar
Skills and Qualifications
