Join us and we’ll provide an environment where you can be yourself. An inclusive, digital-first culture that invests in you, gives you a platform for continuous learning, and access to an incredible breadth and depth of opportunities to grow your career.

You will have the opportunity to learn about how Rolls-Royce Submarines supports the Royal Navy submarine fleet, work with a range of stakeholders with different expertise, understand their challenges and support the development team to deliver valuable solutions.

  • Work with engineers to support emergent and high priority initiatives with data analytics.
  • Demonstrate your strong creative drive and understanding of what is required from an analytic to engage and excite a user community.

Who we are looking for:

At Rolls-Royce we embrace agility, are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity in everything we do.  These principles form our values and behaviours and are an essential component of our assessment process and are fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • An ability to apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems.
  • A proven ability to apply pre-processing techniques, statistical analysis, linear regression, and time-series analysis to industrial data.
  • Extensive experience in Python and SQL.
  • Ability to visualise data appropriately and in a concise manner utilising a range of technologies (e.g., matplotlib, plotly, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy) and machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn).
  • Knowledge of standard software development process, good coding practice and change control technologies (e.g., Git, Azure pipelines).
  • Good time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • A high-level of written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive, persistent and customer focused mindset with a high level of self-motivation, initiative, and ability to be independent.

We’re an equal opportunities employer. We’re committed to developing a diverse workforce and an inclusive working environment. We believe that people from different backgrounds and cultures give us different perspectives.

And the more perspectives we have, the more successful we’ll be. By building a culture of respect and appreciation, we give everyone who works here the opportunity to realise their full potential.
