The CCOR Data Analytics team is part of the firm’s Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) organization. The CCOR function ensures the development and maintenance of a strong controls culture, by developing and maintaining a program infrastructure that identifies, measures, and monitors Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk adherence. The Data Analytics team works with CCOR functional groups to deliver a suite of solutions designed to facilitate data-driven decision making and enable the proactive management of risk. The team is tasked with designing, developing and implementing metrics, dashboards and analytical tools to support the effective identification, monitoring and escalation of Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk issues.

 

The team is seeking a high performing Vice President position based out of our Bangalore office in JPMorgan Towers. The role will be responsible for supporting a broad range of business analyst activities, look for automation opportunities to constantly improve the way the function operates and additionally support multiple assigned initiatives. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to key Compliance and Ops Risk programs, Analytics and automation initiatives being implemented across CCOR and will require partnership with representatives from across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Work in partnership with the CCOR Management team, Technology teams and other key stakeholders to help create new solutions, optimize existing functional / technology platforms and identify new solutions to support solutions for strategic initiatives.
  • Develop requirements including user stories, acceptance criteria, flow charts, functional diagrams and descriptions to communicate specifications for requirements liaising with various stakeholders across the CCOR organization.
  • Utilize advance analytical tools and techniques to gather, analyze and interpret data for informed decision making.
  • Work at the intersection of business and technology, interact with colleagues in various lines of businesses to learn about challenges and opportunities, and translate that insight into high-quality solutions.
  • Lead and participate in planning and execution while collaborating with project teams to ensure timely delivery, within scope and budget. 
  • Work closely with the technology development team to monitor the design/development undertaken by them at agreed points throughout the project life cycle.
  • Regularly document and communicate project progress, analysis results, and propose data solutions to project stakeholders.
  • Participate in other Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk initiatives as a Business Analyst.

They must be a strong self-starter and enjoy creating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. They must be able to lead and collaborate on projects as assigned. 

 

Minimum Skills, Experience and Qualifications :

  • 14+ years of  work experience in the Banking / Financial industry, preferably in Risk, Compliance, Oversight & Controls, or Finance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, work with, and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Have a proven track record of Project/Product Management, Delivery Management and Business Analyst activities.
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to harness large data sets and analyses to deliver insights for senior management reviews with strong PowerPoint/ PitchPro skills and reporting tools (SharePoint, JIRA, Kanban etc.) 
  • Team player with excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Possess excellent communication and engagement skills.
  • Ability to positively influence change and maintain a positive change management environment.
  • Strong MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of visualization tools, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines, a plus
  • Knowledge and/or prior experience with Conduct Risk, Operational Risk or Compliance, a plus
