At Prestwick Service Center we are specialists in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft engine nacelles systems.  An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Development Centre for a student from a relevant discipline to undertake a summer placement (approx. June to September).

Key responsibilities

• Working within our development centre, supported by our digital transformation manager you will work on a project to glean insights on ways to optimise the business through use of interactive data visualisation tools (Tableau or Power Bi).
• Work alongside stakeholders and internal teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into engaging visuals.
• Propose innovative ideas to enhance the value and adoption of Power BI and related products.
• Coordinate with IT Operations to ensure consistency in design approach within M365 environments.

Candidate Requirements

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask effectively, plan and prioritise workload. Recent completion of or in progress of completing a university or College qualification with focus on digital, analytics, data science or a similar transferable field.

The project work will involve the individual to analyse and cleanse data, develop useful reports and metrics to drive improvement. Prior exposure to SAP is desirable but not essential.
