Responsibilities

• Establishes standards for modeling and integration
• Proposes structures based on accepted principles
• Monitors performance, sets benchmarks and suggests improvements
• Data preparation for AI and Machine Learning models
• Development and deployment of machine learning algorithms on data architecture
• Organizing and loading raw data into Data Lake
• Development of complex pipelines for processing structured and unstructured data in (near) real time
• Actively participates in designing targeted architecture
• Development of pipelines for processing large amounts of data (Big Data)
• Design, build, deploy and document data pipelines, model and integrate the data to service key business use cases and workflows
• Occasional provide guidance and mentorship to development teams to build data competencies
• Design and development of ETL program for filling DWH
• Design and development of ETL software for integration with other systems
• Responsible for the technologies used and the lifetime of the ETL program
• Orchestration of the ETL program
• Proposes new technological solutions and concepts for building a data architecture
• Second level support for all business issues and potential problems
• Technical documentation of models, programs and processes
• Build data systems and pipelines
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
• Identify opportunities for data acquisition
• Collaborate with BI Engineers and architects on project delivery

Requirements

• Proven work experience working with ETL projects with a large amount of data
• Experience working with different databases
• knowledge of Spark, Cloud principles, massively parallel processing database concepts (Azure Synapse, Vertica or Snowflake) and Event Streaming platforms (such as Azure Event Hub or Apache Kafka), as well as excellent understanding of data processing
• Familiar with business intelligence and data visualization
• Good Knowledge in Python as well as know-how in software engineering incl. DevOps
• Basic knowledge about CI/CD-Pipelines and VCS-Workflows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies to expand the technology base
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team but also self-motivated
