Your team
As a central part of the Branded department at Next the Label Operations team is key to the frictionless experience we want to give to our brands. Straddling ecommerce through to warehousing, the team are involved in all aspects of the process.
Your role
Managing the Data and Reporting team of two, this is a varied role that sits at the centre of the Branded department. You will need to drive both the team and the suppliers we use to deliver a first-class experience for the brands we work alongside and the teams we support. Data and providing insightful and usable information will be at the heart of everything you and the team do.
With data and reporting in mind you will need to:
- Fully embrace new ways of working, identify and deliver on opportunities to work more efficiently by embracing automation and AI where appropriate.
- Balance the challenges of quality and quantity to ensure the pursuit of perfection doesn't hold us back.
- Translate ideas into practical solutions that improve performance.
Other responsibilities within the role include but are not limited to:
Management and development of your direct reports to achieve the department's objectives.
Understand and develop information on sales, bestsellers and key online metrics to recognise and react to performance trends. Alongside this you will need to accurately anticipate emerging trends and associated customer expectations.
Collaboration with colleagues and teams to test and learn what the customer wants. Ensure your recommendations have the customer’s needs and wants at the forefront to deliver an increase in sales. Instilling a culture across the department that puts the needs of the customer and brands at the forefront of everything we do.
Share business knowledge quickly to ensure the team is able to be fully effective and understand priorities to be achieved and encourage an environment of trust and openness.
About you
To succeed in this role you need to be the type of person who can understand what is needed and who is wanting the information and then share the information in a format that works for that audience
A background in numbers and process will stand you in good stead, this doesn’t mean you have to have a degree in maths but you need to get numbers, talk data language and be able to translate information into usable formats.
You will display a strong desire to understand and improve processes and working methods, people, and systems. Challenging conventional views, generating innovative solutions, and being able to demonstrate excellent analytical skills with an evidence-based approach. Contributing positively to group dynamics with logical analysis to support their conclusions.
Possessing excellent communication skills, presenting complex ideas clearly, and excelling in negotiating and influencing peers and seniors for positive change.
Additionally, you will generate innovative solutions, display analytical skills, and maintain a professional, motivated attitude, capable of working independently under pressure.
