As ATB’s next Data Analyst, you will be responsible for working with all Areas of Expertise in ATB Financial to understand and translate their data requirements. The role actively is involved in the implementation & support of operations, design, development, analysis and implementation of the data models and enabling the business in our DEEP platform. The role also defines relevant data to be extracted including data attributes which ultimately is used to build the information solution to aid the AOE’s with attaining the information required.

The primary focus of this position is to perform guidance, consultation, implementation and operational support to information consumers for their Data needs in a Big Query & Tableau environment.

Specifically, you will:

• Work with key stakeholders to ensure that requirements will meet their strategic and tactical needs, and that the processes the stakeholders envision leverage platform capabilities,
• Translate requirements into a clearly defined Functional /Business Requirement Document – Important to ensure the requirements are captured correctly to ensure an efficient build and can be consumed efficiently in our data visualization & analytics platforms,
• Do the development, create new models & enhancement to existing models in Big Query,
• Support and monitor the COP with request and ensure that SLA’s are adhered too,
• And understand the process of building, testing and promoting Information Solutions through the ATB environment and adhering to it.

Requirements

This position is responsible for providing a wide range of services including new application design and construction, system integration, maintenance, support of existing business solutions. The Data Developer will be working with Solution Architects, Data Analysts, and QA Analysts to understand system requirements and configuration of Big Query systems that meet those requirements. If you had experience working in a financial institution we would consider that a perk.

We will also look for the following in your resume:

• Proven work experience as a Database developer
• Hands on experience with SQL
• Strong Python knowledge
• Google Platform Tools (BigQuery, Data Flow, Air Flow / Composer)
• Enterprise use of Tableau desktop & server
• Experience in development of models with complex logic.
• Experience in data ingestion
• Recognized post-secondary Information Technology university/ college/ technical school or industry certification

Nice to have

• Google Data Engineer Certification, Tableau Certified Data Analyst
