Sr. Data Scientist/Business Intelligence

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist or Data Analyst with a focus on Business Intelligence to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leveraging data to drive business insights, inform strategic decisions, and improve operational efficiencies. This role requires a strong foundation in data analysis, statistical modeling, and a keen business acumen to translate data findings into actionable business strategies.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis and Interpretation: Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.

• Business Intelligence Reporting: Develop and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate key metrics and insights to stakeholders.

• Data Management: Oversee the collection, storage, and maintenance of data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, operations, and IT to understand data needs and deliver insights that drive business outcomes.

• Strategic Planning: Provide data-driven recommendations and strategies to senior management to enhance business performance.

• Tool Development: Develop and implement tools and frameworks to automate data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.

• Training and Support: Train and support team members and stakeholders in using BI tools and interpreting data insights.

• Predictive Analytics: Apply statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to forecast future trends and behaviors.

Education/Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (must).

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• Certifications in relevant tools and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SAS, Google Data Studio, etc.). desirable

• Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.

• Certification in machine learning or data analysis (e.g., Coursera, edX, or equivalent) is a plus. desirable

Years of Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data science, business intelligence, or a related field.

• Proven experience in developing and managing BI solutions and analytical frameworks.

• Demonstrated experience in predictive modeling, data mining, and statistical analysis.

• Prior experience working in a corporate or business environment, understanding of business processes and decision-making.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), database management systems (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.), and statistical software (R, Python, SAS). MUST
