The Data Engineer will be responsible for evolving and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as, optimizing data flow and collection for multi-functional teams. You will also be responsible for integrating them with the architecture used across the company.


Responsibilities:

  • Translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture

  • Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume and low latency applications

  • Model data and process flows for both live and offline data in a way that maps storage systems to business requirements

  • Collaborate with data scientists to productize algorithmic prototypes for statistical analysis and machine learning for prediction and clustering

  • Design data integrations and data quality framework

  • Participate in the full development life cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation and testing, to documentation, delivery, support, and maintenance

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations

  • Evaluate new technology and advise on our data ecosystem

  • Champion data governance, security, privacy, quality and retention policies


Requirement:

  • 3 - 5 years' of overall programming / data engineering experience

  • Advanced SQL skills, and proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python

  • Familiarity with python data science tooling (pandas, scipy, sklearn)

  • Demonstrated proficiency with data structures, algorithms, distributed computing, storage systems

  • Experience with AWS services 

  • Experience with Big Data Technologies

  • Strong knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles

  • Experience in working and delivering end-to-end projects independently

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences

  • First Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience & analytical skills
