LIDAR System Engineer Trainee

LIDAR function is basically a SW-System feature of our smart sensor which our customers are paying for - such as the ability to recognize and track objects around your car or recognize lane markings. We use tools like MATLAB and Python to prototype and develop our algorithms and methods and we later implement them into our smart sensor firmware using C/C++. Since our sensor feeds data to self-driving systems, functional safety and reliability are big topics for us.

The LiDAR Functions team is looking for a System Engineer Trainee.

YOUR CHALLENGES?

• Support the function team to develop and test a new function

• Generating concepts to satisfy the technical requirements

• Support for Proof of concept studies for the new function

• Developing Algorithms for selected concepts

• Supporting verification and validation studies for algorithms and/or function

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU...

• At Least second BSc year on Cybernetics, Robotics, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, System Engineering or similar field

• Good level of English to communicate within international teams

• Proactive and team spirit

• Good programming skills in Python is desired

• Good programming skills in Matlab/Simulink is preferred

• Reasonable mathematical/physical background
