LMI is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Data Analyst. Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end supply assessments and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations on findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Utilize analytical tools and techniques to gather, analyze, and interpret data for analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and streamline supply chain analysis workflows.
  • Implement data ingestion pipelines to collect and consolidate data from diverse sources using tools and external APIs for comprehensive supply chain assessments. Implement data quality and cleansing processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of supply chain data used in analysis.
  • Apply statistical, machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP) algorithms to analyze large volumes of data, identify patterns within the supply chain.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to create interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights on supply chains.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging data engineering and data science techniques to enhance supply chain management capabilities.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to uncover hidden insights and develop new indicators for proactive supply chain management.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in supply chain management, data engineering, data science, and supply chain technologies through industry conferences, training, and research to drive innovation.
  • Perform data analysis, develop briefings and papers for all levels of leadership, and conduct research in support of supply chain initiatives. Communicate with clients through written reports and oral presentations.
  • Support projects analyzing existing system-support supply chains (including, inventory management, maintenance, and distribution) in government organizations such as the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Provide consulting services on DoD logistics strategy and supply chain materiel management policy and guidance related to both weapon system lifecycle product support and all classes of supply, with particular focus on wholesale and retail level inventory management processes, policies, performance measurement and analysis.
  • Support and lead projects analyzing and making improvement recommendations on existing system-support supply chains at both the wholesale and retail levels in government organizations such as the DoD.
  • Provide support to government organizations such as the DoD for inventory management, provisioning, distribution, and packaging principles, concepts, policies and processes to ensure enterprise wide efficient, cost effective end-to-end logistics performance.
  • Support government organizations such as the DoD to progress in establishing weapon system life cycle management sustainment activities, including statutory requirements, to establish a single supply catalogue and a standardization program to eliminate overlapping and duplicate specifications and reduce the number of National Stock Numbers that are generally similar.  
  • Support government organizations such as the DoD to progress in correcting audit findings and material weaknesses in Inventory, Operating Material & Supplies, and Requisitioning.;
  • Support government organizations such as the DoD for inventory and distribution business ideas, innovative solutions, and alternatives that will improve business practices and decision making.
  • Review and monitor Defense Components Supply Working Capital Funds programming and budgeting requirements.
  • Analyze and assess DoD and other government agency logistics and supply chain policies and procedures against current performance metrics and make recommendations on policy and/or process improvements.
  • Provide administrative and technical writing support for the successful maintenance and update of DoD and other government agency supply chain issuances and policies to include:
    • Work collaboratively with the appropriate government stakeholders to capture and articulate information for DoD and other government agency issuances maintenance and updates and;
    • Work with appropriate DoD and other government agency personnel to identify and capture current and changes in supply chain business processes for policy and procedures in issuances; incorporate policy and procedures changes into issuances based on guidance and recommendations from GAO, IG Audits and directive memorandums.
  • Provide program management support, perform data analysis, develop briefings and papers for all levels of DoD leadership, and conduct research in support of DoD logistics strategy and supply chain initiatives.
  • Prepare and finalize correspondence including letters, memoranda, briefings, speeches, presentations, meeting minutes, and reports.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Data Science, supply chain management, acquisition, or similar logistics discipline.
  • Knowledge of applicable government supply chain regulations, legislations, or guides desired.
  • Good quantitative and analytical skills.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry.
  • Knowledge of commercially based advanced modeling, networking, scheduling and inventory optimization systems and techniques in order to support development of supply, inventory management, and distribution policy to improve materiel management of spare part inventories.
  • Good quantitative and analytical skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to use MS Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written 
  • High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry 
  • Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.
  • Availability for occasional travel.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
