We are looking for a Senior Data Governance Expert for full-time employment agreement to ensure through support and control that our guidance and training offering meets the data governance needs of our stakeholders across the Group.
About our team
Meet the Data Governance & Metadata Management (team name) team. Our role is to exercise a broad range of responsibilities including definition and maintenance of Group level policies and operating models, coordination, training and advisory, and metadata management to enable Nordea to take responsibility for, and gain value from data.
Our team is located in Group Business Support, Group Data Management and consists of experts in various fields of data governance where we all have a role as organizational change ambassadors, supporting the alignment and implementation of the DG Framework i.e. people, processes and technology coming to place in a good way. We are currently a team of approximately dozen experts and are looking to grow a bit. We have one or several employees in all the four Nordic countries and Poland.

What you’ll be doing
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Develop and implement efficient and effective communication and training processes including relevant operational instructions that support Nordea’s data governance implementation
- Plan and implement relevant controls to monitor adherence to requirements
- Listen carefully for new development ideas by aligning with key stakeholders
- Be in charge of team’s own information sites to ensure compliance
- As a member of DG&MM team you will also have opportunities to contribute and collaborate broadly across our area of responsibility
The role is based in Helsinki, Gdynia, Gdansk or Stockholm.

- You develop job knowledge and expertise through continuous professional development and have keen interest and ability on sharing knowledge with others
Your background and skills include:
- Previous work experience in data governance and data quality
- Well familiarized into using MS-Office tools
- Experience in process documentation or process development and training others
- You have professional level fluency, both written and spoken, in English language. Proficiency in Nordic languages is a definite advantage
- While we prefer a university degree in technology or business, the full combination of you is that will matter the most
It would be ideal if you also:
- Have experience with IBM InfoSphere Suite / Information Governance Catalog and/or Orion EIIG.
